Tips for renting a car in South Africa
1. Do not leave handbags in the car or valuables exposed, even if you only go for a few minutes.
2. It is recommended to rent a car with full participation cancellation. Some companies sell “non-participation” insurance, but if there is no other vehicle involved in the accident, they charge for the damage under the negligence clause. Through us this does not exist, and to this day none of our tenants has been charged for damage.
3. Fuel prices in South Africa Supervised. You can not fill up before the return and the rental company fills up for about 45 rand + the cost of the fuel.
If you refueled before returning, do so at the airport. The company will in any case fill up and even if only two liters are missing you will be charged.
4. Right turns do not have the right of way . Traffic must be allowed to pass first.

2. Every year the cable car to Table Mountain in Cape Town closes at the end of July for maintenance.
3. It is recommended to book a whale cruise in advance. The season is between July and October and this is the most professional company .
4. Beware of ATM help and people who say you have to pay at the ATM for parking. Withdraw money only in bank branches.
5. Book attractions in advance, especially horseback riding safaris, kayaking and paragliding.

There is no need to clean the vehicle before returning it, but if exceptional cleaning is needed for the vehicle (such as for the upholstery), the rental company will charge you for the cleaning.
